Default Adding Navi to ES

I remember hearing it's hard to add the oem navi to the Is250's so it is the same for the ES? has anyone done it?

I'd love to have navi and rear camera but if the caer i find doesn't have it i would like to add to it

Buy one with navi and save some time and money or go aftermarket so you can have the options you really want.

I would go aftermarket, if possible. The mounting kits are a bit off, but you'll be able to have a much better unit. I just got my 2009 ES with a nav and I'm extremely unhappy with it. (nav unit, not the car). I don't know if you can put a factory nav in it, since the maintenance stuff is in there as well. I just don't know if the non nav cars have the extra looms necessary to do it. I bought a 08 heater control unit think of doing the reverse of what you're doing and there is only one connecter. There is a Roadrover unit that looks nice, but I just don't know about quality. It's been seven years since the first 2007 models came out, you'd think info about this stuff would be easier to come by.

OK, the ad I saw for them said the color was off. If you put a chrome Lexus logo below the unit, it would be a nice touch. Either that or duplicate the wood veneer on the whole piece. But it must be a super nice change from before. Congrats!!!!

I've had many suggestions to fill that void under the head unit, USB ports, built in radar detector, or even silk screening the original Lexus logo that you see on the OEM head unit for that original look. The reason it sits so high is so it will clear the hole behind the unit, so it can be completely center and so it will clear the shifter for easy use.
