I have a 2008 with 82,000 miles on it and the only problem I have with the car is the paint on the wheels is bubbling up. A bit unsightly. Mechanically, it has been great. Just gave it to my daughter to use.

Just to give some perspective on prices, I bought a 2008 last weekend with 32k miles in fantastic condition for $20K from the original owner that paid $40K in 3/2008. The car needed new tires and the front bumper had some scrapes. So I basically paid dead-on the KBB private party value for a car in "GOOD" condition, according to the KBB values.
It included lots of options that many other cars I had looked at didn't have: Nav, backup camera, parking assist sensors, memory seats on both sides, rear window sunshade, automatic wipers.
Make sure you are educated on the Kelly Blue Book and NADA book values for cars you are looking at to make sure you get a fair deal. You can expect to pay a premium for Certified Pre-Owned from the dealer because that's a $1,000 add-on for the warranty that comes with it. And be diligent and patient to find a good car with a solid service history and no glaring problems. I found a few cars with sketchy histories and some repair/repaint issues that I passed on.

Those extras wouldn't be a deal breaker for me if the car is in good shape. Navi and back-up camera for me are "nice to have" vs "must have". Although I drive a lot, I don't use GPS often (few times a year), and when I need it I just turn it on my smart-phone. For back up camera, (*touch wood*) I can still turn around and look where I am going...

They weren't features I wanted either. But when you're in the used car market certain things take priority (age, miles, service history, condition, color). After that, you get what you get. But you still have to decide if you're willing to pay the extra money for vehicle with those options.
