Default Broken directional light on side mirror

The clear cover on the directional signal on the right rear view mirror was smashed in a parking lot.
I have purchased the replacement part but am looking for instructions as to how to replace it.
Can anyone help?

2010 es350

Thanks

If it is like other Toyota's with turn signals on the mirrors, you will need to pop out the mirror glass and disconnect its heater wires (usually a small thin blade screw driver can be used to release the tabs holding the mirror glass in), then use a small thin blade screw driver to release the tabs that hold the mirror cover to the mirror frame, then use a screw driver to remove/reinstall the new turn signal. Don't forget to plug the wires to the new signal and to the mirror glass when you press it back into place. It should all take you less than 30 minutes.

A trick I forgot to mention: As you release tabs that hold the painted mirror cover to the mirror frame, you might find that the tabs you have already released tend to snap back into place as you release other tabs. As others have done, I used very thin finishing nails to hold the already released tabs "open" as I progressively released other tabs. I actually have not done this while a mirror was still attached to a car but I see no reason why it could not be done while the mirror is still attached.
