Hi Guys

I am hoping someone can give me some good advise. I recently had the Vais system installed in my 2008 ES 350. Initially it was working fine. But now I am having issues. The problem is at times it plays perfectly clear and with a strong signal but then I start getting interference every so often as is if I had no signal or as if I were going into a parking garage; but I have clear line of sight to open sky. I don't know if its the Vais, the antenna, or a tsb. I called siriusxm and they pinged it twice and said it should be working fine!

 

Call VAIS tech support. Their contact info is on their web site. I found them to be of great help, while the XM folks really can't help you much.

I also need to add that the communication satellites are way in the southern quadrant of the sky. Even if your car has a clear shot of the sky directly above, a tall building can block the satellite. This even happens to me as I'm driving past the front of our local Walmart or Lowes.
