Default Tire pull

Car was pulling to the right. So I swapped the front left and right tires, and then the car was pulling to the left. So my thinking is.....the left tire should be the problem tire. I then swap the new spare with the left front tire, making the left front tire the spare. Car still pulls to the left.

Being that the spare tire was new and the original tires had about 10K on them, would putting a new tire on the front left make the car still pull to the left?

I guess I could always put the spare (now used tire) back in the rotation and test it.

If you didn't have your front AND rear suspension aligned when you bought your new tires, it may not be too late if you only have 10K on them. Our '08 ES has needed an alignment about once a year. Hopefully you can find a mechanic/shop who knows how to do this properly.

Nevernu's post attachment clearly states that alignment is needed when you experience pulling to one side or the other.

Let us know how this turns out.

I just think that it is strange that when I swapped the front tires it changed the direction of the pull, form right to left, which would indicate which tire was bad. Now that I've replaced the "bad" tire it still pulls left.

I'm going to do another swap and if it still pulls then I'm off to the alignment shop.

Firestone offers a lifetime alignment. I keep my cars for a while and it proves to be money well spent.

Well...........I swapped the tires again, putting the new spare back in the trunk, putting the original rear tire on the front, and front tire on the rear, and the pull seems to have been corrected.

I didn't take it on a long drive but what I can determine thus far is that I may have corrected the pull. I'll drive it more this weekend and report back.
