Default What could cause this....?

Two weeks back while my wife was driving the GX, it had a flat tire on passenger side back wheel. She pulled over, called Lexus and their road side assistance (actually AAA) came and replaced the flat one with spare tire.

Following week I took the vehicle to Sears to buy an addtional tire (as I don't feel driving it without spare). So what I did it, put the new tire and the spare tire (new too) on the front and old ones to back and one old as spare tire. They did the wheel alignment.

Last few days I have noticed that the vehicle is slightly tilted towards left (looking from back) when parked in flat surface. So, I did the measurement on both sides from ground - left side 17.5" and right is 18". That means right side is 1/2 inch more from the ground. I don't recollect seeing that inclination earlier - but I not certain.

What could cause this inclination?. How to fix it?.

First make sure your tire pressure is even.
If it is still uneven, your rear air suspension might need adjustment.
Don't forget though that your gas tank is on the left side, and a full tank is quite heavy.

Tire pressure is even. First I checked that. Gas tank weight is a good suggestion. I can check the level when the tank is near empty.

If it is rear air suspension, will that be covered by warranty?.

Take it to the dealer and let them look at it.

Take it to the dealer if you are under warranty.

one or both of your rear ride height sensors might be bad. If your under warranty take it to the dealer and they will check and replace as needed.

Just thought of giving an update - dealer found the height sensor was bad and replaced both of them. Since mine came with KDSS, they said some of the KDSS components (material) takes time to 'settle'. When they do that, it may be off by few mm (or inch). If the difference is with 20mm, they say according to Lexus, it's within the range.

I haven't measured the height since I bought her back last night. But dealer said it is within 1/2 inch difference. Hope he is right . Also, if not for warranty, I would have paid $2800 for the repair (also replaced one leaking rear suspension).

Hope this info helps some one.......
