Hard to really tell from the photos, but so far I love the rear end treatment of the '13 vs the '10 that we now have. The front, to us looks horrendous. That front center piece looks like an afterthought that someone tacked on. The interior, other than the larger screen doesn't look impressive at all.

All in all, my present lease will be over at the beginning of the new year. We'll be looking for a different brand to replace the nice 2010 we now have.

We have had 3 different Lexus and would love to stay with the new 2013 ES 350 or GS 350. That ugly looking front end on both of these cars is just too difficult for us to forgive.

If I needed a car within the next year I would would buy the 2012. After hearing about the problems with the 2007 I would not buy the first model year of the new ES. If I could wait until the 2014 was released I would buy the 2014 over the 2012.

I have to believe the '13 will have better quality control than the '07. The Lexus reputation took a hit on that one...the first year.

I have to say, knock, knock, knock, the car has been fine since. Except for that pesky accelerator pedal!

I think chances are 2013 will be fine in quality, but then again, 2012 is a safer bet.

i am also wondering what to do about this question...

i have good offer on my trade to buy a new 2012 touring edition with spoiler in black. $3300 off MSRP there is no rebate right now except loyalty but this is my first....the guy is saying markup is 2600, so they are offering me 700 under invoice with NO rebate....ack. he said rebates expired last month, why would they not renew them...?

is this a good price or can i do better. the trade on my car is pretty fair........but the car is 3 hours away...none in this area. i was also looking at a used 2011 with 12000 miles, they want 35k, same options pretty much but its blue with camel leather...i like that color better but its already gonna be 2 years old.....and when the 2013 hit, it will go down more....

i know i am not going to get a deal like this on 13', i should buy now and trade up when the 14' comes out in two years.....by then i'll have 40k miles on it, i put a lot of miles on it...

thanks for any help. my first post!!

All depends. Bought leftover '11 in 10/11 with rebates and decent dealer discount along with good price on trade in ('07 Ultra). I like the car and it only turned 5,000 miles this month. But when the 2013 arrives, I will be thinking I should have waited. But, I'll have a low mileage trade in the next time around. And the pre 2007 ES350 vehicles still look good on the road.

All depends when and @ what cost you buy and trade.
$3300off on 2013 that will soon be outdated is not a great price.

I would look at at least 6000 off to make it worthwhile and give you enough room to trade it ti 2013 if you like 2013 more.

Just depends WHEN you buy...
I bought 2011 ES in 11/2011 MSRP 39K for 31.5K with all dealer incentives and conquest...
To me that was acceptable cost to get into "OLD" car....

That's a great price. Where in TX did you buy it? I am looking into getting one but they are offering only 2000 off of MSRP here in Dallas area.
