Vehicle Customization - Light sensitivity - which way?
This is sort of a stupid question - but for ES350's with NAVI, you can customize some settings yourself under Setup -> Vehicle -> Vehicle Customization.
One of the choices is Light Sensitivity, which alters how sensitive the Automatic headlights are.
But - I'm not sure - if I want to make the headlights less sensitive, does the setting go up or down?
That is - if I want the automatic headlights to turn on less frequently (right now they seem to turn on unless it is clear and sunny - even on partly cloudy days it will sometimes turn the headlights on) - do I turn it up or down?
The PDF from Lexus describes this as (http://www.lexus.com/pdf/service/ES_with_nav_LPS.pdf ):
Light Sensor Sensitivity
When driving the vehicle, the front headlights can be programmed to turn ON under darker
or lighter ambient light conditions. (Headlight switch must be in “AUTO” mode):
So I thought that turning it down would make the headlights less sensitive to light, but it didn't seem to work that way. Actually - I tried both directions and it didn't seem to make any difference.
Just curious what others thought.
