I remember that (I get C&D) - I have to say the rating isn't bad considering the ES350 was the oldest design of them all.
What *I'd* like to see are all 4 of these cars after 50k miles - which one is holding up the best?
That's a good question. According to Consumer Reports the ES350 has the highest Predicted Reliability rating in the segment. The Taurus FWD is rated Above Average but ranked #20. Genesis is Average and AWD versions of the Taurus and all LaCrosse models are down in the Below Average area.
Saw my salesman when I took my Sapphire Black 08 ES350 for service at the dealership. Besides giving me a Lexus keychain, he told me that the next ES350 was going to be "awesome" with a hybrid to boot. By the way, he repeated the word "awesome" couple of times. He also added that the new model will boast of some very advanced gadgetry. Just thought I would add to the conversation.

This months road and track has the newest picture of the GS and also states that the nose design will be a corporate directed look which will be carried buy all of the Lexus models. So we will be seeing this squashed down hour glass grill .
