I have a 2010 ES350. I have noticed since I bought in June, that the Nav is avoiding toll roads when it creates a route. I have the Nav set for fastest and it puts me on roads with traffic lights, slower speeds.

I have gone into the Nav settings and the Nav detailed settings and can't find a setting for avoiding the toll roads.

 

Interesting as I am not having that problem. I just took a trip to Harrisburg Pa from Albany NY and the nav system gave me the usual 3 ways of which 2 of them were toll roads. My trip to Philly a few months ago did the same so I don't see how the system can determine toll vs. non-toll roads. When it sends you to the fastest road is it also the shortest mileage.

 

Page 100 of your Navagation Owners Manual. Touch "Route" at the bottom of the screen and "Preferences". You may need to be under route guidance.
