I always get a beeping noise after I turn the engine off is sounds like the seat belt chime

It seems like once the engine is off there should be no chimes or beeps

any advice on how to get rid of it

I think that happens when you open the drivers door before turning off the engine which I do quite often. My wife who is in less of a hurry to exit the car doesn't have the problem. You can also push the black button on the door jamb as you exit but just changing your exit routine is probably easier.
