Price check, 2010
Hi, I have been helping my mom as she is looking at an ES350. She drove it and loves the ride.
The dealer offered the following after some round and round:
2010 ES 350 , Base, heated seats, black/black ------34,900
offer for trade in-----------------------------------13,000
Trade is a 2005, silver, base, ES330, 60K, new tires
and had all the brakes done within last 6 months. WELL kept.
1.9% financing.
Im looking to see if anyone can shed some light on this deal. I have a feel taht they are about 1500.00 to high on the price, or maybe Im just valuing moms trade toooo much, what you guys think.

I believe you'll find the difference to be about $5K. The dealer also has a 2-3% holdback from Toyota to play with.
That should pretty much give you the dealers cost vs. sticker

Where the huge mark up in all the options since she's buying base not much to make on. If you can get 9-10 % off MSRP you cant go wrong, wouldnt settle for less than 9 %. They will show you invoice sheet on all their veh with vin id as vehicle if you ask.
myself i would have worked the new car purchase first and not combined the trade/in with figures, cant help with t/i on whether its decent. Best of Luck.

Deal all done
Out the door for 33500 and getting 13500 for trade in.
Moms happy this site is sooooo helpful.
Just so everyone knows they offered up two 500 discounts to get past the hump.
Seems like a great deal along with 1.9

Right on the money so to speak they came down 300 and froze. Told me it was the end and if I didn't take NO deal.
I'm wasn't going to blow the deal over 500 bucks.
My offer was 33,000.00

I see your in IL - Chicago area? I bought an '07 at Lexus Of Orland Park and a '10 in Naperville. Both dealerships were good to do business with.

Congrats to your Mom ! Excellent deal...anything over 10 % disc is in top cateogory of 2010 es350 purchases . There is actually couple sites that showed graphs from diff regions of U.S. and disc level that cust purchased...one was under Amer Exp beleive or not....both had 9.5% or more under excellent. Little research and taking emotions out of it will go long way. Had quite of few options on mine was able to get to 10.3 % disc level, although I wanted 11%..all in all I knew I had done well. Welcome to the Lexus Club.!

Which McGrath? I bought mine yesterday from the one in Chicago on Division and Elston. The salesman Andy there was great. This is my first Lexus and the dealership and the staff made it a quick and great purchase. They showed me the invoice and gave me a $500 off voucher to close the deal. The dealership amenities and the staff made it the best vehicle buying experience.
