Default Seat extender option w/o UL

saw an ES non UL with the seat extender. Thought this was only available with the UL package. Is it really available separately?

What year was the car? The Canadian 08 got the seat extender if you added the premium package. This also got you Bluetooth, the swiveling headlights, another set of airbags and a few other options.

In the US, the Premium Plus pkg (Navigation system, standard audio, about $38K after typical negotiations) has the seat extender.

IIRC, while shopping for a 2010 the seat extender option came up only with the UL package. At least in my area after entering the zip code for Build Your Own.

My '07 non UL had it as part of the Premium Plus - Plus Additional Options package.

Maybe a change for 2010?

Hard to say -- in the DC/MD/VA area, the build-your-lexus page doesn't even have the UL version as an option. My 2007 Premium Plus model (bought in MD) does have the extender, though. Lexus' online configurator is pathetic as it doesn't allow selection of the high end option packages for any of their cars. It seems they're forcing people to contact dealerships to find out what package combos are available, which I resent.

I have it on my '07 too. Pretty useless, IMHO. Have it out all the way, all the time.
I first saw it on LS test drive and liked a lot, but on ES it really does not make as
much difference as on LS.

The car was a 2010 ES 350. MSRP was $41,501. The power sunshade option was $205 and the Accessory pkg (Trunk mat, net and locking lugnuts) was $287.
The car I bought was $41,215 MSRP (no sunshade), but, it didn't have the power extender on the seat. Car was built in March and arrive at dealer 10 days before I bought it.
The car with the extender was at another dealer.

my 2010 --MSRP was 41,501 before I added lip spoiler which put @$ 41,820.

So not sure if I have this feature and sorry for the ignorance what does ( Extender ) it do or serve purpose for .

I have the extender on my '07 Premium Plus. Don't lose any sleep over not having it. It is pointless. I never use it. When I extend the lower part of the seat it makes no difference in my seating comfort at all. This is an add on that sounds better than it is.

Don't mean to hijack but how do you tell if an '07 has the Premium Plus vs reg Premium package?

I fonud an '07 and it has Nav, no ML, sunshade and Park assist. From the info I've found online I'm pretty sure an ES could be equipped with the regular Premium package and the sunshade and park assist can be added as stand-alone options.

Is the Premium Plus the seat extender and maybe the rain sensing wipers too?

Just curious.......

Lexus dealer can print you a copy of the original window sticker on any used Lexus - i.e. the full option breakdown.
AFAIK, rain sensing wipers are standard equipment.

The extender allows you to extend the front edge of the seat cushion forward a few inches. This increases thigh support. I actually like this feature a lot, since I find the standard seat cushion to be too short. People who have long legs are more likely to want this feature.

In the DC/MD/VA area, there seem to be three standard configurations:
* Stripped (no navigation system)
* Premium Plus (has navigation system)
* Ultra Luxury (has navigation plus ML audio and panoramic roof)

I just drove a '10 loaner today, and it was the premium plus configuration. Surprisingly, it did not have the seat cushion extender. So, it looks like in my region they eliminated that feature from the premium plus configuration for '10.

I had it in my 08 and never used it. It was not offered in my 10.
