2010 es
No change with regards to design and/or upgrades to the 2010 ES. I have a 2009 Level III, and I really like the design. I think it's elegant, upscale and very classy looking. Look for the 2010 ES 350 sometime in mid to late October.
Level III ???

You heard right. The comment above about the red color is applicable to the model '08 to '09 change. The 2010 Camry is now out, and that is in fact a refresh with new tail lights, new grill, new front bumpers and some other minor changes. The ES should go through the same mild refresh. Lexus, however, has done a remarkable job of keeping things quiet. There is no information out there, that I could find, on the 2010 Lexus ES.

So does this mean that the ES goes another 3 years without an updated GPS system (with haptic controller like the RX) and the new Lexus Enform service? I cant imagine that they are going to let another 3 years go by without some significant equipment chances. If not in 2010, when?
The updated ES should be announced around September-October 2009, and the refreshed model will arrive shortly thereafter as a 2010 model.
It will have the updated Gen VI navigation system, but almost certainly remain touchscreen. The Lexus Enform service will probably be offered. Stylistic updates and possibly new colors are likely.

The ES is getting a mild facelift for the 2010 model year. That is a 100% sure deal. As others have mentioned, Lexus and Toyota are very good at keeping secrets. If one follows history, we are right on course for everything. The only oddball move has been releasing the refreshed 2010 Camry much sooner than the refreshed 2010 ES. The two have usually gone hand in hand.
I just received my September 2009 Motor Trend with the major highlights of all the 2010 models (some 2011 models as well).....I will post what they mentioned about the 2010 ES probably this afternoon/evening word for word (and the pic was an 09 model anyways, not the 10). But it's pretty close to what has already been mentioned in this thread.
I do remember it got only 2 stars out of a possible 5 overall & they called it basically a glorified & expensive Camry which I was less than impressed about.
If comments are much different from Car & Drivers take, I'll post that too when I get my copy.

2010 ES 350:
What's New: "A mid-cycle revamp nets this midsize, entry-lux 4-dr new head / taillamps, upgraded interior trim, leather front seats with memory function, and rear-seat side airbags. Other changes of note include a VSC cutoff switch, ECO indicator, Bluetooth, iPod/USB inputs, and Safety Connect, plus a revised nav with the new Enform telematics system."
Cool Fact: "Primo ES 350 options include Mark Levinson audio, the Pre-Collision System, Intuitive Park Assist, and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control."
Sum Up: "How to pay too much for a gussied-up Camry."
2 out of a possible 5 star rating.
