Loud Pops when playing WMA Files on CD's

I have an issue on both my ES350 and RX350 with WMA files playing. It is not that they will not show up or display correctly. This is fine. The problem is files created by ripping from Original CD's on the latest version of MS Media Player (ver11) in WMA format have load pops that sound like rocks hitting the windscreen at high speeds. These pops are repeatble, happen at the same time in the songs, happen on different CD's burned with different files, and in various Lexus models. They play fine on the PC with WMA and on my Blackberry. Also note that they occur when played in Suzuki's but not Infinity or KIA (rental cars I have tried). WM3's ripped from iTunes appear fine (from my kids). As I don't use iTunes I want to standardize on WMA's. Has anyone else seen this? Lexus is showing no interest in investigating.

I use WMA's almost exclusively in the car and have only run across problems with songs ripped from a Foo Fighter's disc. I haven't tried my entire collection of 1,500+ CD's but I have listened to a lot of the songs.

I use Easy CD Digital Audio Extractor to rip and encode WMAs at 320kbps fixed bit rate. I know that Windows Media Player limits ripping to 128kpbs.
