Hey Moky, I got my car lowered today. looks/feels great. I'll start a new thread to post pics.

The guy who installed said I would need a camber kit for the rear (he guessed I have -1. something %). he also said to wait until the eibach's settle and then get the wheels aligned and the camber installed at that time. What camber kit could I get? I have noooo idea.

camber kit? i don't know if this will fit your car, but what i have is SPC PERFORMANCE CAMBER bolts to help align the camber. they were for the previous generation camrys, but it fits like a glove. i spoke to some techs and they said generally all toyotas/lexus share the same sized bolts. 17mm in the front and 15mm in the rear

here are the part numbers i used:
FRONT 81290
REAR 81270

these can be used to add or remove camber +/-1.75

Thanks for the info. I can't order from SPC because they don't ship to Canada. I will find somewhere local or who will ship sometime this week. should i get front as well just in case?

yeah you can always just get the ones for the front if you need it.
they are maybe 30-40bucks a pair CAD. http://www.specprod.com/CONT_DIR/spe...CCanField.html check out who the rep in ON is.

our local store here in vancouver, LORDCO AUTOPARTS carries spc and they might be able to ship you a set. i doubt if canadian tire would have it. maybe you can also do a search on your local tuner stores to see who carries spc performance camber bolts, or INGALLS ENGINEERING camber bolts. the ingalls engineering i don't have part numbers for though.

got my alignment done today. I brought the rear camber bolts to the shop, but I was just within OEM standards, so returned them (bolts cost $40 CDN). However post-op I do realize now, my right side has more negative camber than the left and that's why I do notice my car drifting to the right a bit. any thoughts?

ironic my scan isn't straight....bad joke?

hmmm after the eibach springs have settled and with my 11mm bigger overall diameter winter tires, I definitely don't have 2-3 finger gaps...but I am going in horizontally / parallel to ground. are you like "putting ur fingers up at a 45 degree angle?" no homo.

no i put my fingers parallel to the ground, no homo.

it may also be due to where the engine is. my right also has more camber because i can see where the dirt is on the tires and the outer most portion of the tires on the right side has no dirt. i haven't gotten an alignment yet after all camber bolts have been installed, but if you're showing a big amount of camber on just springs, i shudder to think what i have

on a side not, check your tire pressure. lower tire pressure can cause a car to veer to either direction

yeah I just checked that last night. 31 all around.
I've also heard since the Eibach prokit is same for I4 and V6 it lowers the front more even than the stated 1 Front 1.5 Rear....so I don't have much wheel gap, dunno what u mean by 2-3 fingers. maybe cuz my ES is heavier than V6 camrys too

i have thin fingers...and i have an I4. most of the guys with i4 camrys had about a 2-3 finger gap, but the v6 guys had maybe a 2finger gap? you're right, the ES may also be heavier because of better sound insulation that the v6 camry.

maybe you can post pics of your car as well so that members on CL can see how the es350 sits with the lowering springs. im sure many will find it helpful

What do you guys think about running a 245/40/19 vs a 225/40/19 for an 08 ES350. I want as much rubber as possible. It seems to only be 1.5% difference from stock according to a tire size calc.

are you lowered or going to lower?

I would say 245/40/19 is way too big for the front. I have 235/35/19 with eibach prokit, but 245/35/19 seems to be ideal if u want the thicker tires.

235/40/ 19 would be better than the 245/40/19, but good luck finding it.

225/40/19 seems kinda meh now that i think about it. but those were the tires I was gonna look for and u can grab used/off-lease g35 front tires.

check out toyotanation as well. A lot of the Camry wheel/tire/suspension discussions are relevant

A few of the camry guys are running the 245/40/19's over there. Im not going to lower the car so I am trying to get a full look and a less harsh ride. I know what smaller tires and a lower ride do to a car. I have an 06 Dodge Charger that is lowered with 22's, but I want to keep the lexus' cushy ride.

niccceee a charger and ES350. IMHO I would have lowered the charger and got 19s and put 20s on the ES350, but what's done is done.

If camry people are runnin 245/40/19 and ur not gonna lower then you should be fine I guess. 245/40/19 is 11mm bigger than stock overall diameter and my winter tires are 225/55/17 (which are also 11mm bigger than stock) and the only time i can remember rubbing for sure was when I did full steering wheel lock to the left and was in reverse, but again that was after lowering.

Are you getting 19x9? 19x8.5?
good luck and post pics
this is how my ride is sitting,
