Using seat covers
The leather in the 2008 ES looks and feels incredible (especially in the UL which I am getting). Many have said that the leather is quite durable even if it doesnt feel or look like it is. I am on the road quite often and I am considering getting a set of seat covers (only for occasional use). Perhaps I am worrying too much, but I don't want to ruin these seats! Have there been occasions where you wished you covered the seats first to protect the leather?

Occasional use maybe, but long term use of seat covers in addition to looking bad often damages the leather surfaces because of the constant friction. For real occasional use - like a muddy soccer player - I keep a couple of the plastic covers that the dealers use in the trunk.

I'd just keep a blanket or t-shirt for occasional use. You camp in your car, right? Should carry a blanket or something with you. No need to get a seat cover.
These heated and cooled seats are awesome. Don't wanna cover them up unless it's a very specific and limited reason like that muddy soccer player.
