Default Intermittent ignition issues with key fobs

My 2010 ES 350 has an intermittent problem starting the ignition. I’ve replaced the batteries in both fobs and a locksmith couldn’t figure out the problem. It locks/unlocks the doors, but when I press the start button the ignition doesn’t work.Sometimes pressing the start button with the fob will start the ignition. Other times I have to press the start button on and off while depressing the brakes on and off. Sometimes that works sometimes not. My mechanic I’ve used for years won’t work on electrical issues. From what I’ve read the problem could be the onboard key remote receiver or the ignition switch itself. The last place I want to fix my car is a Lexus dealer. Has anyone else experienced this? Tha is in advance!
