Hey there. So I've had my ES since November, & the temperature readout has never worked properly. It either has no readout or thinks it's -33° or something crazy & the auto climate control tries to compensate for the "low temperature" & slowly roasts you alive. I just received a new sensor. Any ideas for installation or location?

The ambient temp sensor is mounted on the bottom of the crash bar, towards the driverside(see pic). You need to remove the front bumper to get access to it. It can be tested with an ohmmeter. @77*F it should read 1600-1800 ohms. @122*F it should read 500-700 ohms. If the display reads "--" then there is an issue with the sensor or it's wiring. As far as changing from Celcius to Fahrenheit, the dealer has to change that option. According to the only info i have about that, the US models were programmed to read Fahrenheit, while Canadian and other non US models were programmed with Celcius. The dealer uses the techstream to change personalized settings. There is nothing you as an owner can do to change it by yourself. I realize this thread is old with the previous posts, but figure I'd go into detail for future reference.
