Has anyone given the time of day to slapping the 150amp Alt that is same fit from Venza, sienna, and I think some later ES’s in the thing? I am trying it out now and think I’m experiencing insufficient power at high revs, maybe since car it’s meant for doesn’t have as high a rev range as the ES in sport. Got the battery signal at 5000-5500 rpm’s on the highway and first gear power seems intermittent and laggy at 4500-5500. Not a smooth accel up high in first gear. First gear accel could be something else but alt seems to blame to me. Seems a little harsher on startup compared to before alternator change as well. Hopefully someone has experience with this. Reason for bigger alternator is mine went out and I figured since I’d just cut the stock amp and put in a 500w rms amplifier, I might as well get some more charging power for my battery.
