Default Bluetooth device not supported

I recently acquired a 2014 es.
When I try and connect any Bluetooth device I get a message saying "bluetooth device not supported, and could not be connected"
I have tried different devices and still get this same message. I also have tried unplugging the battery thinking that may help. It did not change anything.

I had a 2007 es that the Bluetooth worked fine on.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what the problem may be or how to possibly fix it?

I've tried a phone (Samsung s22) and an iPad. The phone as both a phone and a media player. The iPad as just a media played. Same results with both.
Like I said the s22 worked in an 07 so not sure why something would be different in a 14.

The Toyota Tech flowchart prescribes the exact steps you already took: try a second device, does the device pair with another car...
Final step in each path ended with "Multi-Media Module Receiver Assembly" and show the steps to remove it. No description of
how to repair or further test the unit.

Real IT basics, did you know that you can reboot the system without turning off the entire car by just pressing and holding the On/Off/Volume
button for a couple of seconds? Screen will go black and reboot back up. Useful when the Nav freezes and you don't have to stop.

I didn't know about the reboot with the volume. That is good to know for the future. Thank you
