Here is a simple mod I did. Stick a rubber seal above the headlights.

I noticed that out of the Gs and Rx, this ES has the most dusty engine. This is because there is a fairly big gap with the headlights that aren’t sealed from the hood.

 

I have noticed this gap and wondered why????

Haven’t had a huge issue with dust. I typically wipe things down under the hood about once a month.

What did you use to close the gap?

 

I got these from Aliexpress. You can search for "Car Door Weatherstrip Waterproof Small D". The quality seems to be pretty good. Really soft and tactile.

Yes I am not sure why Lexus didn't bother with a longer seal that runs under the hood for the ES, when looking at my other cars, the hood seal covers the gap of the headlight.

 

You can also see in the 2018 models, they added the seal back

 

My 2018 ES 350 does not have any rubber above the headlights.

I don’t know if it matters. Mine was built in Kentucky. Purchased December 2018. I have the optional bi-led headlights.

Do you have the bi-led headlights?
