original headlight assembly had 5 connectors . replacement has only 4... different!! it fits otherwise. is it a different type he
adlight ? This is for a 2003 lexus es300 . and replacement is for 2003 lexus es300

A picture of the connector in question would be helpful.

There are two kinds of headlights that came with that car - regular Halogen and HID ones. The most distinct visual difference between those is a lack of Automatic Height Adjustment motor on the Halogen light, which might be what you are missing.
