2017 ES350 Headlight Replacement
I see where the new LED has the conversion wiring connected to the bulb and some don't even need that. Maybe an older style still had the box? It is truly "Plug and Play". Now... the lens in the headlight housing, especially the low beams, are designed for a halogen bulb. Allegedly, the LED will not work as intended and can blind oncoming drivers because the beam will not be focused. '16 Sonata Hybrid. Some say it's waste to upgrade in that situation. The HID's on my Lexus are okay, but project a yellowish beam. Thanks for the input.

One dark night with no lights, a friend that has a 2017 with the ES Led's and I lined up at a back dark road of a Golf course road to adjust up/down and compare lights. I had the 13 ES50 U/L with Hid's. After checking for a while both doing standstills and drive by's it was clear to both of us that the 13 Hid lights were much brighter shined and lit up much further down the road by far.
The Led's seemed very bright close up, but just did not do as much as the Hid's in light output going out. They were plenty bright for driving but just you could tell the difference. Over the years I had changed the bulbs out for 1st the Sylvania Hid Gen 2 bulbs, then after reading, I went to the Osram Night Breaker Laser bulbs due to reading many test and the results. On high Beam the Hids car still outshined the Led's but the Hi beam bulbs were changed out also with some Amazon ordered Blue/White light high output highly rated bulbs, but I don't remember which exact ones they were.
Maybe the Cl member 17 ES owner will chime in here to confirm what we saw also.
Now as of recent there is a aftermarket new Triple Beam Led' light housing for the 6th Gen ES I think that is available to use now. I dont have my ES anyone to compare if someone had those, and I don't know if the Triple beams would have surpass the Hid's I have being there are 3 Led's on each side?

There are different brands so not all lighting products are identical with identical configurations. I bought mine from www.carid.com and they have consultants you can talk to when examining different products. So anyway, I can only speak to the particular light brand I used (and I don’t have the car or the box any longer so I’m sorry I cannot name the brand). My lights were simply installed to replace the halogen bulbs. They matched the original sockets perfectly. An adapter plugged into them, which had about 12” of cable and connected to a small box about the size of a cigarette box. Then that box (which needed to be secured with Velcro or zip ties) had about 12 - 18” of cable that plugged back into the original connector. That was it. Took about 10 minutes. Super easy with todays conversion kits.
Excellent site. It tells you what product (LED), replaces what you currently have (halogen). And well known brands of LEDs, as well. No guesswork or anything vague, like on some sites. You know it will fit! Thanks and I will try low beam replacement. Highs are fair and I already have the halogen replacements. Super information from all.
