Hello,

From what I know, your car already came with a remote integrated in the key with buttons on the side, if you don't have buttons on the key, it is probably a valet one. The Owner's Manual for your vehicle (which can be found here) states that FCC ID for the fob that you need is HYQ1512A, so that any fob that is compliant with that ID should theoretically work with your car. To make sure, call your local dealership and ask them about it. The other thing you can do is just get a new key with the remote function and write it to the system, then you can either cut that key and write it to the immobilizer to use as a main key, or just leave it blank and simply use it as a fob. Below is the video on how to program a new remote fob, the procedure is the same for both the key and the fob. If that won't work, here you can find another procedure that worked for a 1996 ES300 owner.

The Part Number for the stock key is 89742-24070, as for the separate fob Part Number, you will be better off calling the dealership and asking them about it, so that they could let you know which one you will be better off getting.

Hope this helps and best of luck!

That looks great!

Mine has finally cracked. If you don't take care of this, you might get this as the end result:

How bad would it be to just take off the lamination and leave it exposed? It's not real carbon fiber anyway.
