Default ES-350 "Eats" Batteries

Our 2013 ES-350 has recently developed the bad habit of running down its battery in four days.

The car is locked and the fob is upstairs as far from the car as I can get it.

Battery is from AAA and just over a year old. Local Toyota dealer told me the battery tests "better than ones in new cars."

Any ideas?

Where is your second fob? Both of them upstairs?

The battery may test good but if there's a parasitic draw it will fail after a short time... I don't think it's your smartkey.

Was this TSB ever done: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/20...86305-5448.pdf

Probably too late now to get it covered, if not.

No idea. I'll try to find out from the dealer.

I hate to have to take it there with the Covid baloney, but I don't like having to call AAA either.

Thanks.

The second fob is also upstairs in my Other Half's purse.
