So all of a sudden my 99 Lexus E300 will not shift into reverse or drive after fooling with it a little while I realized that in order to get it to go into either gear I could do it by putting the parking brake on turning the key off starting it back up putting it into gear then releasing the parking brake this is the only way to get it into gear and once I put it in reverse or Park I have to start over again I thought possibly a break switch or shift lock at first 1 transmission specialist suggested a solenoid another suggested possibly the valve body is gone does anyone know of any other Secrets tricks or any information I need to know before I go any further?
