Default Bypass oil level sensor on 2ES?

Hello, I have a 1992 es300 and the oil level sensor is bad. Its a $500 part and I dont mind checking the oil level myself. Does anybody know what type of signal it sends? If its a simple on off switch I would like to bridge the wires to disable the sensor. If it uses pwm or something similar to send the actual level that complicates things. Does anybody know if bridging the wires will work to disable the sensor?
