Hub centric spacers.
Looking at aftermarket wheels. Most are larger centre bore than OEM (60.1). Is there really a need for hub spacers? See conflicting reports on the net. Hard to believe that a plastic ring would standup to the pressures, if in fact the wheel was moving on the Hub. Any one have comments/ experience with these?

rims are not car specific
that hub mount cannot fit every car and is made large enough to accommodate all cars. I can understand what youre saying about plastic strength but they're fine and designed for that very purpose. I think rings should run about 20-30 bucks for a set if anything (last time I bought I forgot how much, but wasn't more than 30 for sure).....
You don't want your car rims resting/riding on the lugs. they're meant to ride on the hub, and held tight against by the nuts.
