Default 2003 Lexus ES300 problem

When I want to accelerate primarily from a dead stop the engine almost sticks when changing into gears and than goes (its a light jolt) almost like the gear sticks before changing. Does anyone know what this might be? Thanks.

a video would help alot, but it does sound odd. It could be so many things.

ok. so inspect it and confirm, then replace it.

- but what you've described sounds alot more like a internal issue with the gearbox,
- a good place to start would be checking the fluid.
- perhaps pulling the drain plug, checking the magnet for metal and checking the fluid for a fine particles (silver haze in fluid)
- I've had an issue like this, and eventually the gearbox failed.

I have the same problem, I drain and fluid couple of times but nothing. dropped the pad and found fine particles.
