Ok here is the status. I have swapped out coils, fuel injectors and spark plugs and the misfire stays. I took my test light, one that hooks up to the positive and negative battery posts with a green and red light. If I touch a ground the green light stays on and if I touch power the red stays on and if neither both stay on. While the key is off the tests on the fuel injector connectors all show good ground. On the connector wire back to the ECM, two of them show normal with no change in light, but the bad cylinder connector makes the red light dim just a little bit. When I turn the key on, the bad connector now shows power on both and the misfire continues.

I figured the wire between the connector and the ECM was bad. I replaced that wire and the misfire is still there. I removed the wire harness at the ECM and when I probe the male ECM connector I get the same slight change in red bulb.

I may be asking the obvious (again), but before shelling out $1000 for a new ECM, I guess I was hoping for some kind of miracle. Oh, and it looks as though there are only two bolts/screws that hold it in place. It looks relatively easy to remove if so, not so much if there are two down towards the bottom of the ECM.

Any miracles out there?

Thanks again for the help and patience. This is not bad when I have guidance from people that know so much.

Happy New Year everyone....Pat
