Hello CL. I have a 1993 lexus es 300 that began knocking and overheating. I would like to do an engine swap just to avoid wasted diagnostics time to figure out i need a rebuild. I plan on getting a 3VZ-FE (correct engine right?) out of a camry or wrecked lexus and installing it to mine instead of a rebuild.

I would like a manual or a link to "How to"
Any help would be appreciated.

Your best bet would be finding a factory service manual for this. That would give you basic information to get your car set up. I doubt there will be too much "DIY" information in terms of swapping engines into an ES300.

 

I knew a guy who put a 3sgte form an mr2 into a 1993 camry. Obviously lots of custom work involved but man, talk about a sleeper.
