Default Bluetooth

Hi;

I want to install bluetooth in my 2005 es330 so I can talk on phone hands free and listen to music on my android. I would like to be able to skip tracks from the steering wheel or factory stereo. On long trips I would like to be able to plug the samsung in to the car so I dont drain my battery using bluetooth, but 90% of the time I will not have the phone plugged in. Any recomendations on iSimple or Grom? If you have done this, what items will I need? Thanks for any advice.

GROM behind the dash will do the phone and steering wheel controls. I*LOVE* mine. One of the best investments I've made.

Car charger hiding in the center console keeps the battery charged.

Need to check the GROM website. I just heard there is model that bypasses the CD player. I wonder if I can make it work on the 3ES for better sound quality.

I have a 05 ES330 with factory nav and MK sound. The Grom unit would not work and I had to send it back in spite of great help from their tech support.

Thanks KLF.. Do you know off the top of your head what is needed? I want to be able to play music over my Samsung along with pandora and the like. I also want to be able to talk on the phone.

If I just buy the Grom BT3 with the toyota wire is that all I need? (http://www.ebay.com/itm/GROM-BT3-TOY...47750a&vxp=mtr)

Is there a reason for me to need to hard wire the phone to the device for more control or should I just use bluetooth only and use the cigarette lighter in the armrest to keep it charged?

Thanks for your help

that's all u need from the ebay link. I don't know if you can hard wire the phone to the unit but your stereo should be able to control the phone (play, stop, answer phone calls and etc) via bluetooth. With 2005 ES without NAV, you should be able to keep the CD changer. I have a phone mount on the dash and keep it charged from the cigarette lighter.
