Question 93 Keyless Entry etc Questions

Hi Everyone,
I just got a gold 93 es with 36k on it. I'm very happy as it is an immaculate car. My question is about keyless entry. Is the factory keyless entry meant to do anything besides locking the doors.? Should the headlights blink or the horn honk as in other cars? If so is this an easy fix as this is not happening currently?

Also, should there be a warning (ding ding noise) if the headlights are left on, ignition off and the door is opened?

Thanks for any help,

Sam

Default well...

My 96 es is simply lock/unlock. No ding, no horn, no lights no nothing. The Light should go off auotmatically if you leave them on when you open the door hope this is of some help.

I remember when I got my Es, I didn't belive that it had an alarm system...since nothing flashed (tails/corner lights)..took it to the lexi dealership...the mechanic there rolled down the windows...and then locked it...after a minute, open the door from the inside...thats when i heard the alarm...IT WAS WELCOME RELIEF! So you might want to reassure yourself (and hear) your alarm for future reference!
