Default ES300 paint defect question

Hi All,

I have been trying to find the answer to this but can't seem to find anyone who knows what this is hopefully the experts here can help. I sported five of these little "spots" two on the hood and three on the trunk lid after I did clar bar, Meg UC, Meg UP and UW. You can only see the sports at a certain angle against the light. 90% of the time they are invisible. Upon close inspection I found that the clear coat and pearl coatings seem to be perfectly consistent so I don't think it was a touch up or any kind of failure. Can bird droppings or something like that cause such a thing? Is these any way to remedy this that you know of?

I have also asked on autogeek but was wondering if other lexus owners have noticed this.

you can poke my eyes out but i dont see anything..

do you really care about this?? Is this a show car or something? Most likely clear coat got worn off, it is a 10+ year old car, i would not worry about it ... at all..

I have two theories. One is bird poop, the second is negligence. I suspect that somebody rubbed the surface with something very aggressive and left permanent marks in the finish. You may need to step up your cutting power to level the paint with the affected areas. Having said that, your pictures are very grainy and do not show the defects in all their glory.
