Hi all. I have an es300 94 model. Was driving great but wore tires slightly on one side. Bought new tires. Went to get aligned. Guy said he aligned it but the right control arm was shot. It still drove great. I then replaced rear struts. Drove a while. Replaced left front control arm and strut. Drove for a while. No problems. Then replaced right control arm and strut. Then car pulls HARD to right. Took to different alignment. Got charged 90.00. No change. Took back to him. He started in about some triangle that couldn't be adjusted. I don't think he did anything. What could I have done when changing the control arm to make it pull?
Do check if they are giving you a four wheel alignment, as some do a two wheel alignment that won't fix anything!
Do you suppose a brake caliper is sticking and causing the car to pull to one side?
I had a rear caliper dust boot that was damaged, but I don't remember it pulling to one side.
Another thing with the brakes is the caliper glide bolts and pad slides need to have fresh lube when the brakes are redone. It really wouldn't hurt to re-grease them two or three times even before the brakes need replacing.
I had a four wheel alignment. I really think they just took my money. No change what so ever. I've drove it for over a month since then and my thinking, if the brakes were sticking they would be shot by now. I will check it anyway. Thanks
