I am working on my girlfriends lexus es300 and it has a P0402 code and i have tested the resistance it started at 155.5 K ohms and kept going up each time i checked it im not sure where else to go with this all data didnt help me much. i dont really deal with the imports to much. i have seen some online postings about the egr position sensor and the VSV but i have no idea where either one of those is or what the VSV is please help me.

 

I have the same code for my 94 es300 it comes on then goes away now its on i cleaned the egr valve it self but its not that idk if i need to replace my egr vacumm vale or my egr temp sensor or vsv but to answer ur question the temp sensor is connected to the egr the botton part of it under the intake has a clip on one side thats the temp
