Default Torque Converter Removal?

Does it just slide off and is keyed to go back on the same way? Wasn't sure, couldn't find info in the FSM and I can't find my haynes manual.

I wanted to tip the tranny on its side to change the filter but I may just wait not to jar anything or make a further mess.

I see it's coming along quite nicely. I wish I could help you, but all I can say is, great job!

Thanks! Nothing has been really hard other than the stuck axle. In order to get it out i had 6' long pry bar and lots of leverage! I couldn't believe it! I would have never gotten it out unless I had a lift to get some real leverage while in the car.

That aside, this has been one of my most difficult projects. Would I have done it again? Heck yeah! I've learned a ton on modern cars.

Wow a six foot pry bar?! Which axle was it? I'm guessing it's the passenger side.

I would PM Lexmex, as he has had his transmission in his RX300 (same transmission as ES300).

Yep there was a good amount of surface rust on the engine mount preventing it from coming out.
