Bare metal rusts.You have to add some touch up paint after a ding.

See if a magnet sticks to the bottom of the hood. Aluminum? I'm not at home to check.

it does. used nail polishnas stop gap need to buy touch up sand polish snd and reTouch. no..?

No sanding needed. Next day use some polishing compound to smooth out your touch-up--then don't forget to wax.

On both our Lexus, the Lexus touch-up paint matched perfectly and dried fast. I can't give an opinion on any other brand that might be available--if there is any other.
