Very confusing that they don't simply put it on the label. I've searched, on CL, some says 8 ohm after installation, on cruntfield when on enter your car model, it's 4 ohms, Fist time I've seen 6 ohm though anywhere.
Just dont use anything below 2 ohms you are fine. 4 or 6 is recommended.
Hello GS4, sorry, i'm not an audio geek, but how will my 4ohm speakers performs vs the oem speakers rated at X ohms, will i encounter problem ( ie breaks the amplifier) or lost audio performance.
It is great news if i can swap my old speakers instead of letting it rot in the closet.
Also, the speakers are 3 ways, will simply swapping the oem speakers to that one gives me the full range of the 3 ways ?
Hello Blueshark, according to the 2007/08 Lexus ES 350 documents (see attached) shows the front door side speakers (front no. 1) are 4ohm so you should be able to find a suitable replacement. I might suggest staying with a mid/woofer component type of speaker and look for the highest sensitivity rating.
