Default Cabin Air Fliter replacement

The cabin air filter on my 2005 ES330 (86k) has never been replaced. I am finding mixed reviews on what brand filter I should get. Should I spend $8 on ebay for a super cheap one or spend $30+ on a OEM filter? Or somewhere in between? Looking for a good brand that could save me a few bucks and not restrict air flow or make the car start to smell like exhaust. I like the idea of the FRAM baking soda filter but I heard it noticeably restricts air flow.

thank you

They're basic cotton filters. Get whatever, I just bought a generic one this summer, and a TYC filter for my dads RX, something like 10$ from rockauto
