Question Need help with Door Part!

Trying to fix my moms 1996 es300 driver door. When I took the door panel off, I found this sitting at the bottom of the door:

Im guess it broke off at this point:

Is there anyway to fix/replace this part? Anyone know the part number or name for this item?

Pretty sure you need to replace the whole door latch assembly. Time to hit a local salvage yard.

If you want to fix it, and assuming it's supposed to have a hole at the end, just weld a flat piece of the same thickness to the end, file/grind it down to match the broken part, and drill a hole the same size as the original. The time to drive to the junkyard and search for a match, or search for a replacement part/assembly and have it shipped to you, would, IMO, be more than the 1 1/2 hours it might take to fabricate a new end. Course, if you don't weld or have a bud who does, that might be an issue.
