My wife just called and told me her FOB on our 2008 ES350 did not unlock the doors when she approached the car.
She had to push the button on the fob. Anybody have any ideas what could be wrong? It was working fine since we first got the car back in Dec 2010.

 

The battery most probably needs replacing (FOB battery "CR-1632"), it lasts about 2 - 3yrs. You can buy them in most places but ebay is the cheapest.

 

Thanks for the response. Once I remove & replace the battery - do I have to resynch the fob to the car? If so - can you point me to where I can find out how to do that?
