hey guys, i purchased a used ECM for my vehicle and had been driving for over a month with no problems. One day i noticed my car was shifting weird and 1st gear would take awhile to shift, the RPM's would also bounce around. i ended up getting a check engine light with the OD light flashing
got these codes: P0500 (speed sensor) AND P0720 (output speed sensor circuit)
before i change the sensors i had a few questions. When i purchased the used ECM i had to search for about 2 months before i found one that i thought was matching numbers
If you look at the ECM, the black part of the label below the toyota sign, it reads 89661-33340, both the used ECM and my old non-working ECM had identical numbers, now the other numbers below that read 175000-5804 dont match, the only part that is the same is the 175000 the other 4 numbers are different. I thought only the main numbers that are in the black label mattered, was i wrong ? can the ECM be causing the shifting problems ?
Any help is appreciated
Hi I am new here. Hope it's okay to post my question here my car is in the shop they are telling me that the ECM needs replaced cost 1295.00 Can you telling my roughly how much a repair on my old ECM would cost?
