If anyone has any advice or ideas what might be wrong, please share. I drove my 96' ES300 an hour trip today, it did fine all the way. I pulled into a lot and parked for 5 minutes; shutting my engine off. When I cranked the car back up and put it in reverse, it went dead. I had this problem a few days earlier; and after revving it to 4.5g's it was just fine. Today the car wouldn't go over 4000 RPM's, not only did it die in reverse but in drive. I left in off for 15 minutes; cranked it again and it immediately died. PLEASE HELP!

 

Check Engine Light on?

 

Yes, the first time it went off but this time it won't go off. I hooked the code reader to it and it is showing nothing.

 

Hmmm.......Torque converter in the tranny locked up? Thats all I can think of right now. I;m somewhat brain dead currently.

 

Eh. At one point i put it in drive; went in circles around the parking lot at 2g RPM's, but it wouldn't get any higher and it was sludging out.
