This morning I turned on the rear defrost for the first time in 9 months since owning this vehicle. I was listening to the radio and suddenly there was static. I'm thinking this is strange because this station is usually crystal clear. I change the station and its the same static, so I turn off the rear defrost and lo behold no static. Anyone know what could be causing this? I'm thinking a frayed wire or a bad ground.

 

The rear windshield has the FM antenna right ? Perhaps it is peeling off/frayed
with the air blowing ?
