Default Door won't open...

Running errands this morning everything on the car worked great. This afternoon when I was trying to exit the car the driver's door won't open from the inside. Rolled down the window, tried the handle, still no-go. Locked it, unlocked it, nothing worked. Any ideas on what I should do to fix this? Called the Lexus dealership and they want $120/hr just to take apart the door to see what the problem is. It's a '99 ES300.

Pull your door panel off. Most likely the metal rod that is connected to your handles is loose. It should have plastic clip on it that look similar to this.

As far as 120/hr. BULL5H!T!! I replaced my whole driver's side door latch/locking system for $50! and about 1.5 hours of my time.

My outside handle will not open the passenger door. Can you describe how to remove the door panel. I've removed two screws and two plastic rivets and the panel still will not move. Thanks for any help!!

the clips that hold it are pretty tough. Try giving it a quick but firm jerk!
