Default Cigarette Lighter

In the 92-96 ES300, is there a way to remove the cigarette lighter from the housing? I have removed the whole woodgrain, cup holder, ash tray assembly and am not planning on putting it back in. I would like to remove the lighter though, while using the original connection so it's a simple mounting job only and not a rewiring or tapping into kind of job.
Haven't seen any post on using the original piece just a few posts of splicing into the wiring to add additional plugs.
Any info would be great.
Thank!

Thanks for the quick reply.
No mine still works, I'm just removing the ashtray cup holder assembly so I can mount a second lcd in my dash for a constant video feed for a wide angled, night vision camera for full time display.
I was just hoping to remove the original lighter and remount it so ic ould have power still.
Worst case scenario I could tap into it, but id rather use the original if possible.
