Glad to hear the 3VZ can handle it. I have a friend that will be turboing his 3VZ. Any suggestions for him?

How much would it cost me in total to get that supercharger in my car(install, stuff I would have to change/modify, preparations I would have to make, etc.) ?

^ Depends. Can you do your own work, or have a friend that can help? If there is no "labor" cost involved, it would be under $3k, with the "recommended" fuel mod upgrades, being an upgraded fuel pump (I have a DIY for this), as well as an upgraded fuel line (I make them, and easy to install). The TRD SC is actually made for YOUR engine, so it bolts right on (97/98 ES300, 97-01 Camry, 99-03 Solara, 95/96 Avalon).

Drop me a PM if you are really interested and I can explain everything you want to know in more detail.

Yeah simply don't over boost on stock internals... try going up gradually haha.

Get a good exhaust manifold set up, because there is no need to have the turbo facing forward in the engine bay if you enclose it all with intercooler and air intake piping. (depends which car it is in) saves money.
But I'd make sure all the cooling is up to scratch, like mine has all new cooling products. Radiator brand new, tranny cooler brand new, intercooler brand new.
According to you, the standard tranny with 250k on it will hold 6PSI, so there is no problem then if he is turbo charging at low pressure. Couldn't hurt too bad haha.
Thicker head gaskets, metal ones. Lowering the compression. Could shave the cylinder head to increase it as well, by a fraction, for even more power, not to mention then switching to higher cc injectors. Not too big.
Fuel pump, new exhaust, I got 3 inch so, I think that's good enough.
Tuning, not so sure yet, as I said I'm going a set up now hopefully to get around 300-350hp but that won't happen on stock internals, nor on dodgy tuning set up.
I don't know... it's pretty simple to turbo a car, it's just getting it set up the best which is a tad difficult.
Try and replace as many seals as possible in the engine with new ones!
Oh yeah, upgrade your oils. And make sure to get a good oil feed to the turbo, don't fick that up.
Nothing new...

Anyway, back to this race set up interior.

One great feature is that my car has lost around 100kg of gross mass weight. According to my calculations (which were very simple and rough idea) it brings the 0-60 time down by apprx 0.5 seconds.

Really? That much? My lightweight racing wheels cut unsprung weight(best weight to cut) by what is equivalent to 200 pounds or so and I didn't feel a difference in acceleration.

Yeah a bit of physics involved, but the wheels are a rotating force and by changing the wheels, the mass weight above them does not change and so the force pushing downwards is still equal to what you began with.

What kind of fluids are you running in this setup, like oil, tranny fluid, etc.?
