Default Black Pearl Emblems

I have the Black Pearl Emblems on my Black Platinum GS400. They are available for all models. If you need help let me know I can put you in touch with my contact at Lexus of Manhattan. Here's a pic of the Black Emblems on a Black car

Those are tight...Blux, if you don't mind can you post the same shot as this GS? Just straight on the back? Did see your pics in the gallery...looks great, just can't see the emblems too well.

Thanks guys.

I found the Black Pearl emblems on eBay, got them for $100...I love them. I didn't realize the Coach Editions came with those...weird because I don't think I've ever seen them on a car driving around.

Anyway, will take some pics after I wash my car this weekend...

I want some new emblems on mine, but on my gold, i don't think that the new black pearl would look good. did you buy the emblems that were made for the model year of your car, or could i just buy some that were made for a similar model year on mine. it seems that my emblems are just glued on. not punched into the metal, if i can change the color to silver, instead of these gold ones, it would be good. my chrome wheels have the silver caps on them, so it would match. oh yeah, did anyone find out if that momo chrome/wood shifter fits our cars alright?

Eric,

Autonet performance sells new sets for every model year for $129
That's the only place I could find anywhere for our year cheaper than the dealership
www.autonetperformance.com

As for the similar model year I don't know, I didn't wanna risk it so I ordered chrome for my 92 year.

If you're gonna order from them, I'd wait until I get mine first though, because I put the order in a few days ago and I haven't heard anything from them. When I get them in I'll let you know.

The best way to get them off is with fishing line, but dental floss will work too, just harder because it breaks easily.

You just kinda "saw" off the old emblems by sliding the fishing line/dental floss under them and sliding it back & forth to cut through the adhesive. On my car (a 98 ES) the circle-L logos on front & back had posts that fit into holes in the hood/trunk as well as being taped on, but the "Lexus" and "ES 300" badges were just stuck on with tape.

Make sure you clean the area where the emblem was before you stick the new one on. The new ones should just come with double-sided tape attached to the backs of them, you just peel off the paper and stick 'em on. I think the whole process took me about an hour and a half to do all the emblems.

Good luck!

On my '96 ES, I removed all my emblems when I had it repainted and only put new "L" emblems back on. The "L" emblems had 4 pins that went into holes in the trunk, and the "Lexus" emblems also had 4 holes. I welded the holes that were left from the old emblems before it was repainted. Just wanted to let everyone to be cautious before they went ripping emblems off thinking it was only adhesive behind them.

I'm curious about the Black Pearl emblems, though. I checked the site at www.autonetperformance.com and didn't see the emblems listed. Hey BigGuy, can you post the link to the exact page these emblems are listed on?

Thanks BigGuy. I was, however, looking for the Black Pearl emblems, though. Anyone have a pic or a link to these?

I got mine on eBay...will probably post some pics on Monday. They show up there pretty regularly, just have to keep checking. I think the eBay guy has a website...I'll check when I get home tonight & will post on Mon. if I can find it.
